American Battery Company

The Company

American Battery Company is a wholesaler of UPS replacement batteries. As a new entry to the market, ABC needed to establish a presence in the industry, attract quality dealers and help drive qualified buyers to their dealer network.

The Challenge

American Battery had designed and built a website, but was disappointed that:

  • The site had no presence in the major search engines
  • There was little or no qualified traffic
  • Navigation was difficult
  • Some site functions didn't work
  • Tracking was limited to number of hits per day
  • There was no way to link to their dealers

The Assessment

Working closely with management, we determined what ABC needed to accomplish and how customers shop for batteries. Our keyword research revealed high demand for these products. Search engine traffic was high and competition was heavy with over 50,000 pages competing for related search terms. The goal was for visitors find their battery within two clicks of the home page and then seamlessly link buyers to key dealer sites.
